Goddess of the Night
She is personification of the night. She is the
first-born, daughter of the moon; she will haunt
you. Sister to darkness, earth and Tartarus,
she emerges from the void. A dark veil of mist she
draws around you, as you cross the bronze threshold
from day to night. The siren’s lips enjoy
the music you make, and you must play to amuse her.
She will keep you dangling on that string in a
nocturnal rhapsody of cascading melodies
Eclipsed by celestial shadows, she speaks of love,
which no man will ever take. She dances on moonlight
whispers, on silver-tongued promises, made but never
kept. You’ll never catch her, just her laughter as
she blows a final kiss. Slayer of your
light, her words are empty. She bathes in your
torment and misery, your bittersweet existence.
There is no existence for you, without your
Goddess of the Night
